Устройство предназначено для защиты органов дыхания и зрения в аварийной ситуации при внезапном возникновении непригодной для дыхания атмосферы. Устройство содержит коллаж с встроенной полумаской и систему регенерации воздуха, включающую регенеративный патрон и дыхательный мешок. На лицевой части колпака и на пелерине закреплен снабженный ремнем ограничитель. Регенеративный патрон закреплен на ремне ограничителя с помощью хомута, проходящего через кольца, закрепленные на ремне ограничителя.
