Abstract

The invention relates to a method in a customer-initiated goods article conveying process, the goods articles being fed to a checkout station for registering the price and possibly the weight before being conveyed onwards where the customer takes charge of them. The method is characterized by a temporary establishment of at least two goods-receiving spaces, of which the one space is used for a temporary retention of goods fed out upstream in the conveying direction between the checkout station and the point where the customer takes charge of them, and the second space is used for takin gcharge of the goods and is thus accessible to the customer. The arrangement is characterized in that at least two goods-receiving spaces, temporarily separable from one another, are arranged in the outlet part of the goods article conveyor, of which a first space is intended for the temporary retention of goods fet out upstream on the goods article conveyor and one space for goods fed from the first space.
