Abstract

The wall comprises an inner supporting frame (10) and outer wooden cladding (11) formed by elongated pieces of timber (16) arranged one on top of the other. Supports (19) for the timber are used to prevent it from expanding or shrinking in the vertical direction. The timber rests on top of the supports, which protrude from the frame and extend through spaces (20, 21) in the timber. Corner joints (22) are formed by slotting together the ends of the pieces of timber.
