Abstract

Device and procedure for seed counting in a seed drill comprising a seed container and an air flow source adapted to create an air flow to conduct crop seed in the form of seeds from the seed container to the seed nozzles via a connecting conduit (4). At least one light source (24, 30) is adapted to send parallel light beams essentially perpendicular to the direction of flow in the connecting conduit (4). At least one line camera (28, 34) is arranged at the opposite side of the connecting conduit (4) with the aim of sensing the light level from the light source (24, 30) and connected to a control entity (20) adapted to calculate the number of seeds that pass the line camera (28, 34) by comparing the light level across the width of the line camera over time.
