Abstract
The method involves dividing a range of crankshaft angle, between two predetermined operating points of cylinders (5,10,15,20) activated successively, in several partial segments. A value of an engine rotation speed is determined in each of the partial segments. An upper dead point of ignition of the cylinders is selected from the predetermined operating points.
