Abstract
There is disclosed herein a terminal assembly (4) for a cylindrical secondary cell comprising a head portion (4c) configured to form an external terminal for the cylindrical secondary cell, and a shaft portion (4d) configured to axially extend into an opening of a casing of the cylindrical secondary cell. The shaft portion comprises a contact portion (4b) having a contact surface (4i) for contacting a current collector, and a deformable section (4h) arranged radially around the contact portion, configured to deform radially outwards to thereby secure the terminal assembly in the opening of the casing. A gap (4g) is formed radially between the contact portion and the deformable section, configured to allow radially outward deformation of the one or more deformable sections such that, in a deformed state, the contact portion extends axially further from the head portion than the deformable section.
