Abstract

This invention describes novel chemical compounds which are 1-amidino-3-phenylureas. The method of preparing these compounds and their pharmaceutical uses is also disclosed. The products of the present invention are particularly useful for treating gastrointestinal spasm, gastrointestinal hyperacidity or ulceration and are administered in an amount between 0.5 mg to 500 mg per dosage unit. The compounds have also been found useful in treating hypertensive disorders when administered in the range of 0.5 mg to 500 mg per dosage unit.
