Abstract

A storage tank (11), designed as a handle, for the disinfectant is fixed to the top side of a sponge (15) receiving the disinfectant (14). A pierceable membrane (12) seals the inside of the tank against the top side of the sponge (15) before use of the disinfectant application device. In a hollow recess in the sponge (15) below the pierceable membrane (12) there are arranged piercing tips (13) in such a way that the disinfectant (14) leaves the storage tank (11) and enters the sponge (15) when the underside (17) of the sponge is pressed inwards and upwards. <IMAGE>
