Abstract

Regulator for taps etc. includes e.g. a wire mesh (5) positioned at the inlet to divide the incoming water jet which then passes through holes (8) in a plate (7), past an orifice (14) for the introduction of air and through other wire meshes (16). Some of the holes have a polygonal section (9) over part of their length or have a sharp edge at their entrances. The polygonal sections are 0.2-0.5 mm. pref. 0.3mm. in length and are pref. smaller in diameter than the holes themselves.
