Abstract

An operating table possesses a holding column carrying a bracket which carries a main table board composed of sections. An extension element is arranged at each end. At least one of the extension elements is connected to the main table board in such a way that it can be turned such that its upper surface becomes the lower surface, and vice versa, and that it can be arranged at a desired inclination relative to the main table board. The latter function is achieved by means of a click-and-pawl mechanism.
