Abstract

A fireproof bag holder in the form of a box-like structure which includes a rear wall (6), two side walls (1) and a bottom (16) which are mutually joined together, a removable front wall (2) and a lowerable and raisable lid (5). The inner surfaces of all the elements are covered with a fireproof insulating covering (9). The insulating material of the lid is somewhat deformable, so that when the lid is closed it seals against the upper edges of the rear wall, the side walls and the front wall, The extent to which the lide can be raised is limited by stop means (11), so that when the lid is released in its raised position it will fall to its closed position under the action of its own weight. A channel means (12, 13) is provided inwardly of the upper edges of the rear wall, the side walls and the front wall, to provide means into which the edges of the bag can be folded, and a stirrup-like structure (7) is pivotally arranged so that it can be lowered into the channel part the side walls and the front wall, to hold the edges of the bag firmly in the channel means. The stirrup-like structure is also arranged to lock the front wall in position in the box-like structure. The bottom of the front wall is held in position by means of a channel-like bar (14) projecting out from the bottom (16) of the box-like structure. Each of the side edges of the front wall (2) is provided with a vertical guide element (14) which seals against the side walls.
