Abstract

The invention relates to a rapid warm-up device for an internal combustion engine. In the rapid warm-up device a rapid warm-up circuit with a combustion heating device is provided. The circuit contains means for heating up the lubricating oil, the heat generated by the heating device being used. The rapid warm-up circuit is separated from the engine cooling system so that the quantity of heat-transferring medium circulating therein is reduced.
