Abstract

Conveyor apparatus of the kind which consists of an elongated conveyor element 10 passing along the transport distance, which can be moved backwards and forwards by means of a driving device 11 and a number of engaging pieces 16,17 which can be detachably positioned at optional points on said element, and which can be detached from the elongated conveyor element 10 at a predetermined point to release the load. Each of the engaging pieces is provided with a lock 33 which can be pressed against the conveyor element 10, and which in one direction of movement of the conveyor element 10 carries along the load 21,22, and in the opposite direction slips over the conveyor element without moving the load. In connection with the conveyor element 10 is arranged an elongated secondary element 10S with which a lock 36 on the engaging pieces 16, 17 engages during the return stroke of the conveyor element 10 so as to prevent the engaging pieces 16,17 from moving in the return direction. <IMAGE>
