A device, fig. 1, for the training and development of body muscles, consisting of a base frame (1) which carries vertical profiles (5), to which an upper frame (6) is attached and carries pulley wheels (7) over which a line (26) runs that is fastened at one end to a handgrip (27) and at the other end to a bar (17). The bar (17) can be loaded with various weights (21) and runs under the influence of the line's (26) handgrip (27) along the guide struts (16) arranged between the base frame (1) and the upper frame (6).
