Abstract

The torque box spanner is espec. suited for vehicle wheel fitment, and has a torque transmission body (1-3), which at one end has a space (4) for engaging a nut. A rigid casing (6) is fitted around the body and fixed at this end. The other body end has a transverse hole (5) to accommodate a bar, to which the torque-producing force can be applied manually. The rigid casing has also a through hole (7) through which the bar can be passed. This hole has such peripheral dimensions that the bar can move freely and extend into the aperture when the body turns under the applied torque.
