Abstract

The present invention concerns a modular unit for cartridge filters for filtering of gases mixed with dust for example, consisting of a support structure 2 with filter element 1, which units are arranged to adjoin each other in any desired combinations by means of connection elements 3. The modular unit according to the invention is characterised in that the support structure 2 and the filter element 1 are arranged to be joined together in that the casting head 6 formed during injection moulding of the support structure 2 in plastic is designed to penetrate into the filter element 1 and bind it, and furthermore the surface of the support structure 2 is arranged by the injection moulding to take on greater softness than its core and the resulting softer surface is designed to serve as a packing seal 4, and the connection elements 3 are either arranged in the form of holes in the support structure 2 and pins 5 matching them, or they are designed in the form of profiles and hooks, so that the units are arranged to hook together in endless number. <IMAGE>
