Abstract

Balloon probe for oesophagus varices, which is in its entirety made of a tissue-friendly plastic. It comprises a bendable tubing (10) with an oesophagus balloon (11) and below this a ventricle balloon (12) on the exterior of the tube, of which both have a non-elastic thin wall, at which the tubing forms two air canals (14, 15) extending itself from the connection pieces (14A, 14B, 15A, 15B) in the upper end of the probe and flowing into the oesophagus balloon respectively the ventricle balloon. The wall of the oesophagus balloon is directly linked with the wall of the ventricle balloon or passes directly into this. Two suction canals are also designed in the tube (16, 17) and extend from the connection pieces (16A, 17A) in the upper end of the probe and flow through openings (22 respectively 23) in the hose wall above the oesophagus balloon respectively below the ventricle balloon.<IMAGE>
