Abstract

The printer controlled by the computer includes a magazine for unprinted labels a printing unit for application of text on the labels and components for the successive forward feed of labels to a delivery station. Support carries the objects for labelling so that they occupy a predetermined position in relation to the delivery station. - Combined with the transfer components in the printing unit, is a roller, which with a pre-set, but adjustable, pressure, locates against and retains the object whilst it is in the queue awaiting labelling, and which pref. is the uppermost in a bundle or stack. The support comprise a plate movable horizontally in the work position, and in which a number of horizontal, parallel rods are individually displaceable. - Use - E.g. labelling batches of newspapers.
