Abstract

A pedal, which is particularly intended for bicycles, comprises an axle 10 and a tread part 11 which is mounted in a rotatable manner on the axle. The tread part comprises a profiled section 12 which has an essentially central hole 13 extending through the profiled section in the longitudinal direction thereof, and an end piece 27, 28 at each end of the profiled section. Each end piece is provided with an outwardly projecting sleeve 29, 32 which is intended to project into the central hole 13 and constitute a bearing sleeve for mounting the tread part on the axle. In addition to the central hole 13, the profiled section 12 also comprises two peripheral holes 14, 15 which extend in the longitudinal direction of the profiled section on each side of the central hole 13, and the end pieces 27, 28 are provided with outwardly projecting sleeves 30, 31; 33, 34 which are intended to project into the peripheral holes and to be secured therein. The pedal thus consists of only a small number of parts which can be easily assembled. <IMAGE>
