Abstract

On a dental chair 1 comprising a seat 2, a backrest 5, 6 and a headrest 7 there are provided, for adjusting the latter, separate adjustment elements 8, 9, 10, 11 which execute movements on actuation of control elements. The backrest 5, 6 has a lower part 5 and an upper part 6. These two parts can be displaced with respect to each other by means of an adjustment element 12 which has a separate control element, as a result of the actuation of which, actuation of one of the other control elements leads to a defined relative positioning of the two parts 5, 6 of the backrest. By actuating only each of the control elements, the chair 1 is set in a defined position, and this is done by adjusting the adjustment elements 8, 9, 10, 11 in a fixed order. <IMAGE>
