Abstract

A towing hook, for use in the towing of camping vehicles, or similar, has a locking unit for a detachable fastening of the actual hook part (2) on the towing hook's frame section (1), which is secured to the vehicle; as the actual hook part (2) can be partially projected into the towing hook's frame section (1) which is secured to the towing vehicle. There are engagement surfaces (5,6,7,8) on the projecting parts of the hooking unit (2) and frame part (1) which lock in to one another for the restriction of the parts' relative movement. The hooking part's (2) end is chamfered so that it can engage with the frame part (1) in order to bring the engagement surfaces (5,6,7,8) towards each other and there is, besides, a snap-lock unit (9) to press the engaging projecting surfaces (5,6,7,8) into each other, and to ensure the secure locking of the engaging surfaces in relation to each other. The towing hook, furthermore, has a protective guard.<IMAGE>
