Abstract

In an installation for X-ray diagnosis or the like, a radioactive source is used which can be supported by a pillar stand or overhead stand 2. The radioactive source can be set in various basic-setting positions for vertical and horizontal ray path. Beneath a patient table there is a cassette holder 7 which houses a receptor for vertical ray path. In addition, a cassette holder 8 having a receptor for horizontal ray path can be applied to the cassette holder 7. The stand supporting the radioactive source is mechanically connected to the holder 7 by members which bring about forcible horizontal movement of the radioactive source 4 upon horizontal displacement of the holder 7, but which allow relative movement in the vertical direction between radioactive source and holder. <IMAGE>
