Abstract

The battery structure for keeping poultry has staging (3) platforms supported above the foundation or the floor or on a structure (1) which comprises a frame (2) on which the staging is carried on at least two opposite ends. Two or more frames may be arranged either side by side or in tandem or in some other adjacent fashion so that the staging may be arranged and carried at various levels within the frame or structure. Arranged in this manner the poultry is provided with a variety of places to roost and has more freedom to move within the battery.
