Abstract
Method of regulating the cutting of an optical fibreglass line 1 with a plastic sheath 2 by supplying heat to the plastic sheath so that a suitable temperature can be selected in the plastic sheath 2 and thus those mechanical properties in the plastic sheath which influence the tensile stress, which is applied by tensile loading via clamping jaws 3, 4, and the speed at which the cutter 6 penetrates the plastic sheath 2 and meets the fibreglass line 1, resulting in a perpendicular, plane and smooth break in the fibreglass line 1. <IMAGE>
