Abstract

Anchoring arrangement for a post 8, in particular a railing post forming part of a safety system, which post has a rectangular, square or circular cross-section. The arrangement comprises a clamp 1 for securing on an edge, for example an arch edge, an upper wall edge or similar, which clamp 1 has at least two essentially parallel clamp arms 2, 6. One clamp arm 2 is, at one end part, anchored essentially at right angles to a connection arm 4, and the other clamp arm 6 can be adjusted to predetermined positions along the connection arm, likewise at right angles thereto. Arranged at the free end of the fixed arm 2 there is a stiffening crown 16 for securing the clamp 1, which stiffening crown 16 can be manoeuvred by means of a take- up screw 12 in the direction towards a clamp surface 20 on the adjustable arm 6 and comprises a support plate 17 whose support surface 19 is substantially greater than the corresponding clamp surface 20 on the opposite adjustable arm 6. The crown 16 has at least two torque- transmitting spindle arms 22 which essentially have a conventional U-shape. At the area where they adjoin the edge 18 of the plate, each one of the branches 24 included in the spindle arms is joined to that side of the support plate 17 facing away from the clamp surface 20. <IMAGE>
