Abstract

A fastening device (1) comprises fastener elements for attaching the device to a supportive device (2), such as a so-called manrope or like elongated device, and fastener means for attaching to the fastener device an elongated, flexible carrier (5), such as a line, on which an object (6), such as a so-called fender, is intended to hang from the fastening device. The fastening device is mainly characterized in that the fastening device is so arranged that said carrier (5) will extend through the fastener element (1) while generally guided, and in a first position can be moved in its longitudinal direction in the fastening device essentially freely, and in a second position is clamped firmly in the fastening device and therewith latched against movement in its longitudinal direction, and such as to enable said positions to be switched simply, by displacing the carrier transversely to its longitudinal direction with the aid of a free carrier end which extends from the fastening device and which can be manoeuvred by a single-handed grip on said carrier.
