Abstract

The invention relates to an underlay for external roof or façade facing, which comprises plates 18, which are fixed to a load-bearing structure 19. For sealing between the edge of one plate 18A and another building component 19, 23, a profiled strip 21 is fitted, which with a gutter shaped longitudinal edge section 10 encloses the edge of the plate with the side walls 11 of the said edge section bearing flexibly against the adjoining building component 19, 23, so that the profiled strip between the two longitudinal edge sections has an intervening section 15, which creates a connection between the gap that occurs between the edge of the plate and the building component.
