Abstract

Appts. for a security telephone device connected or connectable to a supervision unit for administering one or more reception units, by means of a telecom subscription link. - In addition to the usual security telephone function, the appts. has a function for supervising the administration of medicine prescribed to the subscriber, this function being carried out by means of timing units that can be activated at respective intervals in order to act as a reminder function which informs the subscriber that it is time to take the medication. These timing devices can be adjusted and installed from the telecom or supervision system, the system sending out real time information governed by a highly-accurate real-time clock in the system, that is received by the reception unit(s) from the medical institution. The appts. provides the subscriber with a means of confirming that the information has been received and in the case of non-receival of this confirmation, an alarm will be signalled at the supervision unit.
