Abstract

The support (24) for a cable tray with a number of longitudinal rails spaced from each other by crossbars is connected to the tray so as to provide a supporting surface for the cables and curves downwards to define a radius for cables branching off. The upper part has slits in which sit the longitudinal tray rails (14) and the edge has a rolled over edge (30) which wraps around a crossbar (16). This upper part also has a transverse undercut groove. There is a fastener (34) which is inserted in the space between the lower surface of the support and the upper surface of the cable tray. The insertion is from the side of the tray.
