Abstract
A joining device for communication cables, the device having a high tensile strength. A straight hollow connection body (20') extends through opposite openings in a casing (21', 60', 70'), in which the inner conductors of the cable are coupled together. The end portions of the connection body (20') being located outside the casing adjoin the outer reinforcement sheath of the cable, said sheath being clamped (40') externally onto the respective end portion.
