Abstract
The pump housing (1) has inlet (2) and outlet (3), a shaft (4) with axis (5), a fluidising rotor (15) and gas evacuation pump (23) with housing (24) including cylindrical chamber (25) and second impeller (26). The chamber contains a liquid ring (29) and is defined by an element (40) movable in relation to the second impeller. An actuator (48,50,51,59) moves the element to adjust it into different operating positions dependent on operating conditions. The operating conditions comprising first eccentric operating positions for axis of rotation of liquid ring in which blade pockets (28) together with the ring enclose volumes of gas decreasing in the direction to the outlet (36). In the second eccentric operating positions, the blade pockets and ring enclose volumes of gas increasing in the direction to the outlet and in third operating positions the blade pockets and ring enclose constant volumes.
