Abstract

The locator of a subcut channelled catheter under a patient's skin, has a controller (7) with a central hole only slightly larger in diameter than the external diameter of the catheter (9) and directed so as to accommodate this. The controller (7) has at least two apertures perpendicular to the central hole and designed to permit fixing of the controller (7) to the patient's skin. The controller (7) corresponds in external shape to the terminus of an insert in (a) relatively wide zone of the catheter in the zone of a handle, to facilitate insertion of the catheter.
