Abstract

At the free end of the boom (1) is a raisable and lowerable arm (2), connected to the boom via a horizontal shaft (3) and a power unit (4). A harvesting unit (7) is arranged at the free end of the arm. The arm (2) has an outer part (2.1) which is rotatable around a shaft extending in the arm longitudinal direction. The harvesting unit (7) is arranged at the free end of the arm outer part and rotatable around a second shaft (9) extending at right-angles to the longitudinal direction of the arm with the aid of a second power unit (10). The harvesting unit can be tilted sideways in relation to the plane through the boom and the arm when the latter is wholly or partly raised and located against a sideways tilting tree trunk.
