Abstract
FIELD: veterinary. SUBSTANCE: preparation has, wt.-%: iodinebismuthsulfamidothiazone-furacillin 5-6; vegetable oil 44-50, and limewater 45-50. Limewater is prepared preliminary by quicklime slaking and iodinebismuthsulfamidothiazone-furacillin is prepared separately. For this potassium iodide, hydrochloric acid (specific gravity is 1.19) were taken and bismuth nitrate and norsulfazole and furazolidone were added successively. Preparation is obtained by mixing iodinebismuthsulfamidothiazone-furacillin with vegetable oil and limewater. Preparation as 5% aqueous suspension is administrated to sick animals at dose 100-150 ml. Therapeutic effectiveness is increased from 71.5% and 79.5% (treatment with furacillin and bismuth iodide, respectively) to 85.7%. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of preparation proposed.
