Abstract

FIELD: aeronautical engineering. SUBSTANCE: coaxial folding-blade propellers consist of forward fixed-pitch propeller 1 and aft fixed-pitch propeller 2. Folding mechanism of each blade 3 has swivel plate 4 with profiled slot 5 and projecting member 6 received by respective profiled groove 5 and engageable with it. When folded, swivel plate 4 with blade 3 secured on it is fixed by projecting member 6 located between working surface of slot 5 and shelf. In starting the engine, body of each propeller with swivel plates 4 starts rotating and profiled slot 5 of swivel plate shifts by its working surface over projecting member 6 turning the swivel plate relative to axis. Thus, blades 3 are set in working position. EFFECT: enhanced reliability through shifting the blades to working position making use of relative rotation of propellers. 2 dwg
