Abstract

A drain fitting for washbasins, sinks, bathtubs, or sanitary fixtures with a drain hole that contains a drain trap inside the push rod. It consists of a control piece and a push rod head, which is a closing piece for the drain hole and can be replaced by longitudinal movement by the push rod arm, with the upper edge of the drain trap forming a sealing sleeve for the push rod head in the closed state. This fitting is improved in both the cleaning and visual appearance of the sanitary fixture. Finally, the support shoulder (13) of the drain trap (12) is inside the drain hole (11), deeply embedded in the wall of the sanitary fixture (10), with the surface of the push rod head (15) in an open state, forming a plane with the upper edge of the drain hole (11).

Claims (10)

1. A drainage device for a sanitary fixture (10), such as a washbasin, bathtub, or similar fixture with a drain cup (12), is supported in the drain hole (11), which can move longitudinally by a push rod arm (18). The push rod (16) consists of a restraining part (17) and the head of the push rod (15) is the closing part for the drain hole (11), whereby the upper edge (14) of the drain cup (12) forms a sealing sleeve for the head of the push rod (15) in its closed state, and whereby the diameter of the head of the push rod (15) is at least equal to the largest diameter of the upper edge (14) of the drain cup (12), such that the upper edge (14) of the drain cup (12) forms a support shoulder (13) in the drain hole (11) which is recessed into the wall of the sanitary fixture (10) until the surface of the head of the push rod (15) is in the same plane in its open state as the upper edge of the drain hole. (11)And in the closed state of the drainage device, the head of the push rod (15) is lowered by measuring its capacity for movement relative to the upper edge of the drain hole (11). 2. The drainage device under claim 1 has the specific characteristic that the head of the plunger (15) is molded from the same material as the sanitary ware (10). 3. The drainage device under claim 1 or 2 shall have the characteristic that the head of the plunger (15) shall consist of a ceramic part of a color that matches the ceramic material to which the sanitary ware is made (10). 4. The drainage device under claim 2 is such that the head of the push rod (15) conforms to the shape of the sanitary fixture (10) in the area of the drain hole (11). 5. Any of the drainage devices under claims 1 through 3 are such that a portion of the surface on top of the convex face of the push rod head (15) is in the same plane as the top edge of the drain hole (11). 6. Any of the drainage devices under claims 1 through 4 are characterized by the head of the push rod (15) having a convex surface. 7. Any of the drainage devices under claims 1 through 4 are characterized by the head of the push rod (15) being formed in the form of a disc with parallel planes. 8. Any of the drainage devices under claims 1 through 7 are characterized in that the outer edge (22) of the plunger head (15) and the top edge of the drain hole (11) are formed in accordance with the outer (23) or inner (24) contour of the top edge of the sanitary ware (10). 9. One of the drainage devices under claims 1 through 8 is characterized in that the plunger head (15) is formed as a separate element and can be connected to a conventional plunger head. 10. The drainage device under claim 9 is characterized by the fact that the head of the plunger (15) is connected by a releaseable clamp to the head of a conventional plunger and is released.
