1. กรรมวิธีการผลิตฟิล์มที่ย่อยสลายเองได้ที่ทำจากวัตถุดิบจากพืช ซึ่งจะดีกว่าถ้าอยู่ในรูปของคาร์บอนโบไฮ เดรท เป็นกรรมวิธีที่การทำวัตถุดิบจากพืชให้เป็นพลาสติกและ การเตรียมฟิล์มต่อมาได้ทำอย่างต่อเนื่อง และเป็นขั้นตอนเดียว
2. กรรมวิธีตามที่ระบุในข้อถือข้อ 1 นั้น เป็นกรรมวิธีที่ วัตถุดิบ ถูกดัดแปลงและแยกออกเป็นส่วน ๆ ระหว่างกระบวนการ
