Abstract

The folding chair described in this invention consists of a U-shaped, curved metal frame comprising a backrest, seat, front legs, and rear legs held together by bolts. Between the rear legs and the backrest and seat, on both sides, are locking wings made of sheet metal cut and folded into a U-shape, or hollow cylindrical metal rods cut in half. These are used to support the curved surface of the rear legs, and the upper ends of the front legs and backrest are attached to the armrests.

Claims (2)

1. A folding chair has a U-shaped frame consisting of a backrest (1), a seat (2), front legs (3), and rear legs (4). The front legs (3) and rear legs (4) are joined together at the ends of the front legs (3) and rear legs (4) with a locking pin (5). The backrest (1) is positioned upside down in the middle of the rear legs (4), and the seat (2) is positioned lying down with its ends pointing backward. The ends of the backrest (1) and seat (2) are joined together by a locking pin (5) in the middle of the rear legs (4), and the top ends of the front legs (3) and backrest (1) are joined to the armrest (7) with a locking pin (5). The armrest (7) is a metal bar that is bent slightly at the front end to serve as a handgrip. Its specific characteristic is that in the position between the rear legs (4) and the backrest (1) and the seat (2) which are connected on both sides, there are locking wings (6) which are made of a sheet of metal that has been cut and folded into a curved shape like a U or a hollow cylindrical metal rod that has been cut in half to be placed along the curved surface of the rear legs (4). 2. A folding chair, according to claim 1, in which the front legs (3) and the rear legs (4) are joined together in such a way that the front legs (3) and the rear legs (4) are positioned facing upwards at an angle to each other, forming a triangle.
