Claims (16)

A detergent mixture particle consisting of (a) a carrier containing fragrance compounds from approximately 0.1% to approximately 50% by weight, the principal components of which are (i) fragmented particles containing at least approximately 90% by weight of smectite and/or zeolite and a less reactive detergent compound of approximately 5% by weight, and (ii) a fragrance compound; (b) a single or multiple reactive detergent compounds selected from the group of anionic, nonionic, cathionic, amphoteric, and sweetterionic detergents from approximately 2 to approximately 50% by weight, in addition to any of the aforementioned particle detergent compounds; (c) detergent softening salts from approximately 0 to approximately 70% by weight; and (d) the remainder consisting of water and selected filler salts.

A process for the attachment of fragrance compounds to textiles during washing, which involves exposing the stained and/or soiled textile to be washed to a solution or suspension in water containing a carrier of the fragrance compound, which primarily consists of (i) at least approximately 90% by weight of separable particles of smectite and/or zeolite and approximately 5% by weight of a less reactive surface detergent compound, and (ii) a fragrance compound. This fragrance compound is adsorbed and/or absorbed onto the aforementioned particles.

This carrier shall consist of (i) separated particles containing at least 90% by weight of smectite and/or zeolite, and approximately 5% by weight of a less reactive surface detergent compound, and (ii) an aromatic substance which is liquid at ambient temperature and which is adsorbed and/or absorbed onto the aforementioned particles.
