These include halogens and C1-C3 haloalkyls, which consist of 1-7 halogen atoms; R4, which is a C1-C12 alkyl or alkoxyalkyl containing 2-10 carbon atoms; C3-C10 cycloalkyls; C3-C10 cycloalkylmethyls; C3-C10 cycloalkyls replaced by 1 or 3 C1-C3 alkyl groups; or C1-C5 alkyls replaced by 1 or 2 C3-C10 cycloalkyl groups; or polycyclic alkyl groups consisting of 7-10 carbon atoms; phenyl (C1-C5) alkyls; or phenyl (C1-C5) alkyls replaced at 1 or 2 positions in the phenyl nucleus by a halogen; trifluoromethyl methoxy or ethoxy.

Claims

1. Compounds with the formula (I)(chemical formula) where R1 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, methoxy, ethoxy, trifluoromethoxy or C1-C3 alkylthio; R2 is hydrogen, halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, methoxy or ethoxy; R3 is hydrogen, C1-C4 alkyl, halogen, phenoxy, phenylthiophenoxy which is replaced by one or two positions by a halogen and/or trifluoromethyl or benpyridiloxy or pyridiloxy which is replaced by one or two selected from the group consisting of halogens and trifluoromethyl; R4 is a C1-C8 alkyl, an alkoxyalkyl with a total of 2 to 7 carbon atoms; C3-C5 cycloalkyl, C3-C6 cycloalkylmethyl, methyl (C3-C6) cycloalkyl, provided that at least two radicals in R1, R2, or R3 are distinct from hydrogen; R3 is at position 4, and R1 and R2 are independent of each other at positions -2 and -6 of the phenyl ring.

The compounds in claim 1 where R1 is hydrogen fluorochloro C2-C4 alkyl or methoxy, R2 is hydrogen chloro C3-C4 alkyl or methoxy, R3 is methyl ethyl isopropyl chlorophenoxyphenoxy replaced one or two positions by chloro and/or trifluoromethyl, or is pyridiloxy or pyridiloxy replaced one or two positions by chloro and/or trifluoromethyl, and R4 is C3-C8 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy(C1-C3) alkyl, or C3-C6 cycloalkyl.

3. Compounds as described in claim 1 or 2, where R4 is isopropyl or tert-butyl.

The process of preparing a substance of formula (I) as in any of the claims 1 through 13, which involves the removal of water or hydrogen sulfide in sequence from a substance of formula (II) (chemical formula) where R1 through R4 have the meanings in any of the claims 1 through 3 and x is oxygen or sulfur.

15. A pest control mixture containing one of the active ingredients listed in Reputations 1 through 13, in combination with a suitable vector and/or other adjuvants.

16. The use of any of the substances listed in claims 1 through 13 for the control of insects and agents of the order Acarina on animals and plants.

17. Use as specified in Claim 16 for controlling insect pests that damage crops (Claim 17, 5 pages, 0 images).
