Training trousers consisting of a front area, a back area, and a crotch area located between the front and back areas. These trousers are further enhanced with: a permeable top layer; an impermeable back layer; a liquid-absorbing core material positioned between the permeable top layer and the impermeable back layer; a waist closure; and a pair of leg openings, each of which is positioned circumferenceally with a stretchable/contact elastic piece. The top layer in at least the crotch area has a central transverse layer and an opposing transverse layer, and the central transverse layer has a liquid permeability less than that of the opposing transverse layer.
