The fire escape elevator consists of two elevator cars (1) connected at the top center, which is the handrail of each elevator car (1), by a cable (5) to connect the two elevator cars (1) to each other. The cable (5) is passed through a pulley (7) to allow the cable (5) to move and pull each elevator car (1) up and down in time with the operation of the fire escape elevator. On both sides of each elevator car (1) are supported by ball bearings (8) to allow the movement of each elevator car (1) to be smooth. At the front of each elevator car (1) is the elevator car door (13), and the interior surface of each elevator car (1) is covered with thermal insulation (15). A hydraulic (10) is installed at the bottom to support the weight and prevent impact. The hydraulic (10) is installed at the bottom. The floor is positioned so that each elevator cabin (1) moves down to the bottom. The control rail (2) prevents each elevator cabin (1) from going off the floor and over the top. On both sides, the elevator control levers (12) are located next to the winch (3) to act as brakes to stop each elevator cabin (1) when people inside each elevator cabin (1) want it to stop or move slowly. A unique feature is that on both sides of the outside of each elevator cabin (1) are vertical steel rails (4) that run the entire length from the floor to the top of the fire escape elevator. Each steel rail (4) is grooved to allow the winch gear (3) to rotate. The top of each elevator cabin (1) is fitted to the winch (3) to wind the weight-balancing cable (6) to match the weight of the opposite elevator cabin (1). The weight-balancing cable (6) is attached to the top of the fire elevator with a cable clamp (9) and connected to each winch (3) to add or subtract weight to each elevator cabin (1). On either side of the winch (3) are side gears (18) for driving the winch (3), with shaft bearings (11, 16) supporting the side gears (18) to provide a shaft to rotate the side gears (18), and a hydraulic cable (14) is installed above the winch (3) to adjust the weight-balancing cable (6) to be neatly wound.
1. This elevator does not use electricity or a drive system, but it can be used when needed. Once inside the elevator, pull the brake lever to the operating position, and the elevator will gradually descend. To stop, pull the brake lever again, and the elevator will stop immediately. The descent is driven by the weight of the people or items inside the elevator. This downward movement also causes the weight on the opposite side to rise, constantly switching positions during operation.
2. The winches installed at the top of the elevator cabins, both left and right, serve to balance the weight. When the elevator ascends, the cables coil into the winch, increasing its weight. When descending, the cables uncoil, balancing the weight. This adjustment is necessary because during descent, the cables pulling on the other cabin increase, requiring the winch to release some of that weight while the weight within the cabin remains constant.
3. Hydraulic system for sling: The hydraulic system in the winch is used to keep the sling from tangling.
4. Elevator control mechanism: From the bottom to the top, this structure controls the elevator, preventing it from veering out of its enclosure. Ball bearings are installed on the sides of the elevator shaft to ensure smooth movement.
5. The brake serves to stop or slow down the elevator when someone inside the cabin wants it to stop or slow down. (This brake is located in the winch slot.) A rod connects it to the elevator cabin.
