An electronic device that uses a storage medium has the following components: a main body with an opening on its front surface used for inserting and/or ejecting the storage medium; and a rotatable lid mounted on the main body. The lid opens and closes the opening, and the lid body has an inclined section used to rotate the lid in a direction in which the storage medium opens the opening when inserted into the electronic device.

A recording and/or transcribing device for recording media, comprising the following components: the body of the device, which has an opening used for inserting and/or ejecting the recording media; the body of the device containing the recording and/or transcribing unit for recording or transcribing the recording media inserted through the opening; and the body of the cover for opening and closing the opening. The body of the cover is mounted on the body of the device in a rotatable manner, and on the side surface of the cover body there is an inclined section used for rotating the cover body in the direction in which the recording media opens the opening when the storage media is inserted into the body of the device.
