Method for bleaching clothes: Clothes are stained using a method consisting of the following steps: (i) adding a unit amount of bleaching compound consisting of: iodine or its source, in the range from 0.0005 percent by weight to 5.0 percent by weight; and, a balancing carrier and auxiliary mixture to an aqueous medium as a solvent, thus creating an iodine-based bleaching solution; (ii) contact of the clothes with the iodine-based bleaching solution; (iii) rinsing the clothes with water; and, (iv) drying.
