Claims (7)

1. Non-aromatic L-amino acid producing bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family, which have been modified to inhibit the expression of the csrA gene. 2. Bacteria pursuant to claim 1, where the expression of the csrA gene is inhibited by inactivating the csrA gene. 3. Bacteria as per claim 1, belonging to the genus Escherichia. 4. Bacteria as per claim 1, belonging to the genus Pantoea. 5. Bacteria according to one of the claims in clauses 1 through 4, where the aforementioned non-aromatic L-amino acids are selected from a group consisting of L-threonine, L-lysine, L-cysteine, L-methionine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-histidine, L-glycine, L-serine, L-alanine, L-asparagine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamine, L-glutamic acid, L-proline, and L-arginine. 6. The method for the production of non-aromatic L-amino acids consists of: - Culturing bacteria according to one of the claims in clauses 1 through 5 in a medium to produce and release such non-aromatic L-amino acids into the medium; and - Collecting such non-aromatic L-amino acids from the medium. 7. The method under claim 6, whereby the aforementioned non-aromatic L-amino acids are selected from a group consisting of L-threonine, L-lysine, L-cysteine, L-methionine, L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine, L-histidine, L-glycine, L-serine, L-alanine, L-asparagine, L-aspartic acid, L-glutamine, L-glutamic acid, L-proline, and L-arginine.
