The coated fragrance particles, with an average size of less than 350 microns after coating, should not exceed 150 microns. The most suitable size is 40 to 150 microns. These carriers have molecular weights from 100 to 30,000, melting points from 37°C to 190°C, and hardness values from 0.1 to 15. The water-insoluble coating on these particles is located on the outer surface.

A detergent mixture consisting of one or more active detergent agents of choice, one or more active surfactants, and a fragrance mixture. The fragrance mixture consists of fragrance particles containing 5% to 70% fragrance dispersed in a 30% to 95% water-insoluble polymer carrier. This carrier has a molecular weight of 100 to 30,000, a melting point from 37°C to 190°C, and a hardness of 0.1 to 15. The particles have a loose coating on their outer surface. The coated particles have an average size smaller than 350 microns and should not be larger than 150 microns.
