Abstract

In a camera (201), for the exposure of the film strip (F), which is normally held in a light-proof film casing (1), a device is provided to push the film strip out of the casing, which can be moved from the unexposed position to provide a visible indicator that the film strip is unexposed, to the partially exposed position to provide a visible indicator that the film strip is partially exposed, and to the fully exposed position to provide a visible indicator that the film strip is fully exposed. Devices (253, 309) are provided to prevent the exposure of the film strip (F) while the indicator (77) is in its own exposed position, and to allow partial exposure of the film strip while the indicator is in the unexposed or partially exposed position.

Claims (2)

1. The camera for exposing the film strip, usually housed in a light-proof film cartridge, can push the film strip out of the cartridge by itself. It has a movable exposure indicator that can be moved from an unexposed position to a fully exposed position to indicate that the film strip has been fully exposed. This camera has a unique characteristic where the indicator detection section determines whether the cartridge indicator is in the fully exposed position (for indicating full exposure) or the unexposed position (for indicating unexposed). A control unit is connected to this indicator detection section to prevent exposure when the indicator is in the exposed position and to allow exposure when the indicator is in the unexposed position. 2. Camera. As stated in Requisition 1, the warning section shall be connected to the detection section of the said indicator for the purpose of preparing to know that the film cartridge status indicator is in the exposed position itself.
