Termoplastik maddelerden imal edilen kullanima hazir bir kaplamanin/bantin veya seridin sarilmasiyla, kapli metal borularin kaynakli baglantilarinin ve/veya zarar gören kaplama bölgelerinin asinmaya karsi korunmasi için termoplastik maddelere sahip üç katli kaplamanin borulara bulunduklari yerde tatbik edilmesi için bir yöntem. Kaplamanin/bantin veya seridin baglanti üzerine tatbik edilmesi, mekanik olarak, örnegin silikon kauçugundan imal edilen uygun bir silindir vasitasiyla gerçeklestirilir; bahsedilen silindir, kaplanacak olan bölgede boru üzerine yerlestirilen uygun bir vasita ile tasinir, boru çevresinde dönerek, kaplamayi/banti/seridi borunun üzerine sarar ve arzulanan basinçla bastirilmasini saglar ve destege/boruya güçlü bir yapisma kazandirir ve kaplama/bant ve boru arasinda tutulan hava kabarciklari olmamasini saglar.
