Abstract

Titanyum-Bor-Alüminyum alasimlari,alüminyum ve alasimlarinin dökümü sirasinda üretime verilerek alasimin tane boyutunu küçülterek mekanik özelliklerinin gelistirilmesinde ön alasim olarak kullanilmaktadir. Burada basit ve islem sürecinin kisa olmasi nedeniyle metalotermik proses %30-60 Titanyum ametali, % 5-15 Bor metali, geri kalan alüminyum ametali olan alasimlari üretmek amaciyla uygulanmistir. Belirli miktardaki, TiO2, B2O3 toz alüminyum sarj numuneleri karistirilarak alüminotermik redüksiyon deneyleri MgO astarli pota içerisinde yapilmistir. Reaksiyon isisinin alasimin curuftan ayrilmasina yetmedigi durumlarda gerekli isiyi saglamak için sarja % 10 kadar KC1O3 ve optimum sartlarin saglandigi sarj bilesimine sarjin %50'si kadarda CaO ilave edilmistir. Asagidaki formüller bu çalismanin konusudur; KC1O3+ 2 A1=KC1(g)+A12O3 H 298=-1501kj (kilo joule) TiO2+ B2O3+3.333A1=TiB2+ 1.667 A12O3 H 298=899.8kj.
