Abstract

Apparatus (1) for mounting a solar energy device (2) has a support (3) to which the solar energy device (2) is mounted so as to be movable to track movement of the Sun. An expandable gas container (6) contains a gas. A solar heating device (5) is arranged to receive solar energy and to cause the received solar energy to heat a gas in use. The arrangement is such that heating of the gas by solar energy received at the solar heating device (5) causes the expandable gas container (6) to expand so as to drive movement of the solar energy device (2).
